The volume of air freight has decreased, air passenger traffic has grown above average
According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), air freight has reached a three-year low since the sector’s performance in January dropped by nearly 2 percent, compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, passenger traffic has grown above the multi-year average.
The statistics provided by the Montreal-based commercial organization sent to MTI show that in January, the sector’s performance in terms of tonne-kilometers was down 1.8 percent, compared to January last year. (MTI)
