Retail sales in Germany fell in September
In Germany, retail sales fell much more than analysts expected in September on a monthly basis, which experts say is partly due to the resurgence of the coronavirus pandemic.
The German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) announced on Friday that retail sales fell 2.2 percent, compared to August, when a 1.8 percent increase was recorded compared to July. Analysts expected a much smaller 0.8 percent monthly decline in retail sales in September. (MTI)
