Decline in retail sales in the EU and in the euro zone
Retail sales decreased by 0.6 percent in the euro zone and by 0.3 percent in the European Union in September, compared with the previous month.
Compared to September 2012, retail sales increased by 0.3 percent in the euro zone and by 0.8 percent in the European Union in September 2013 – Eurostat announced on Wednesday in its first estimate.
According to Eurostat, retail sales in Hungary fell by 0.8 percent in September, compared to August and rose by 0.3 percent compared to September 2012. (MTI)
