Retail sales drop in the USA
After the 0.1-percent sales decline in February, March suddenly brought a 0.8-percent decrease in retail sales in the USA. Motor vehicle sales suffered the most, falling by 2.1 percent. The US Department of Commerce opines that the sales drop is the result of the 21-cent oil price increase that occurred in March. However, the ministry’s view is that the negative trend is just temporary as 215,000 new workers were registered in March.
