The consumer price of fresh milk, sour cream, Trappist cheese and butter decreased
In July 2023, the producer price of raw milk in national currency decreased by 14 percent in the European Union, by 27 percent in New Zealand, and by 32 percent in the USA compared to a year earlier.

According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 151.47/kilogram in August 2023. In addition to the stagnation of the protein content and the improvement of the fat content by 0.05 percentage points, as well as the 1 percent decrease in the base price, the average price of raw milk decreased by 1 percent in August 2023 compared to July 2023, and was 17 percent below the average price of the same month of the previous year.
The price of the previous price-stopped milk has increased
According to KSH data, the consumer price of canned UHT (long-life) milk with a fat content of 2.8 percent increased (+8 percent), fruit yogurt did not change, and pasteurized ESL (long fresh) milk with a fat content of 1.5 and 2.8 percent increased (-1 percent respectively), the consumer price of sour cream with 12 and 20 percent fat (-2 percent respectively), Trappist block cheese (-4 percent), and added butter (-6 percent) decreased.
