Wheat’s average procurement price was down in but barley’s price increased
At the end of August the Magro Grains Index (MGX) was at 10,140.6 points, which means there was practically no change from the July level. Corn’s procurement price dropped a little and wheat’s average price plunged 5 percent. Feed wheat’s price was HUF 40,500 and milling quality wheat could be purchased for HUF 48,500. Feed barley’s price increased by 2 percent to HUF 41,000. Market expectation is that in Q4 2014 both feed wheat and milling quality wheat prices will rise a couple of percents
