Falling milk prices can be expected this year
The EU milk market is expected to drop this year according to an analysis by the Agricultural Directorate of the Takarék Group – agrarszektor.hu wrote. Consumption and processing on the world market are on the rise, but there is still a lot to be done to improve competitiveness in Hungary and in the European Union as well.
The milk quota system was the most important element of regulation of the EU dairy market, as it was actually regulated the volume of milk produced individually and domestically. The milk quota system was introduced in 1984 to deal with accumulation of stocks and financing problems among the member states.
