Declining retail sales in Europe
In March 2011, retail sales in the eurozone decreased by 1 percent, while in the European Union, the decline was 0.8 percent.
On an annual basis, turnover decreased in the euro zone by 1.7, in the EU by 1.0 percent. On a monthly basis, the index not containing the turnover of the foods, decreased by 1.1 percent – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Eurostat.
