The food industry increased beside declining industrial production
In May, industrial production fell by 0.4 percent, compared to the previous year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
The working-days adjusted index shows a 1.9 percent increase. Compared to the previous month, the seasonally adjusted and working day effect adjusted industrial production index also showed a 3.2 percent increase in May, after a 2.3 percent drop in April.
In the first five months of the year, production was 0.7 percent below, compared to the same period of the last year, mainly due to the 1.9 percent fall of domestic sales, while export sales stagnated. (MTI)
