Beer consumption decrease in Germany
We should force 50% price increase in the next five years to cover our cost – said Richard Weber, president of German Beer Association.
Prices climb higher because of the raw materials, but energy
cost and miss of bottles cause problems for the beer industry in Germany. This
year Germans drink 2 liter less beers, as last year when the peak was 116 liter
pro person. Although the sales of flavored beers grow with 20%, their share is
only 5 % in total beer producing.
