Less food wasted
According to a survey conducted by The British Retail Consortium, while in 2013 British retail chains produced 200,000 tons of food waste, in 2014 they only generated 180,000 tons. Data for the survey was provided by Asda, Co-operative Food, Morrisons, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Waitrose and Tesco.
