Declining German beer consumption
Less beer is consumed in Germany.
According to the report of the Federal Statistics Office, quoted by the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the German brewers sold 94.6 million hectoliters of beer in 2013, two percent less than in 2012.
This was the lowest amount of beer in Germany since the reunification. In 2001, the volume of beer sold in Germany, was close to 108 million hectoliters. (Világgazdaság Online)
