Deposit could also be chargeable to chocolate paper
One large supermarket chain charge 5 HUF deposit in the prices of the most beverage products. When the buyer returns the bottles to the store, they got the deposit back.
The Deputy Director of the Environment Ministry said, that the manufacturers or distributors can charge deposit, if they make sure of its retake. It is worth to the department stores to introduce the deposit system, because it is a non-budgetary revenue and the money stays at the supermarket. Money should only be given back if the buyer returns the product. It is questionable of course: how many custumer returns the bottles for 5 HUF – reports inforadio.hu.
