The American luxury chain asked for bankruptcy protection
Neiman Marcus asked for bankruptcy protection – hvg.hu wrote after The New York Times. The department store chain, known for its luxury products, said it has received 675 million USD in loans and needs a total of 750 million USD to recover by early fall. By then, however, it will already be majority owned by its creditors.
Neiman Marcus is one of the most famous luxury store chains in the United States. In 2017, they launched a sneaker that looked dirty and worn out for 1,400 USD.
The store chain had to close virtually all of its stores due to the coronavirus pandemic. (hvg.hu)
