Spar bankrupted in Romania
According to Ziarul Financiar; Romanian Spar asked for bankruptcy protection. The court of Arad registered the company due to the request of the two main shareholders – Ioan Adrian Cuc and Floare Cuc.
The Romanian retail chain was founded in 2006, with the acquisition of Holland licenses. In three years by opening 20 supermarkets, the company became the country's third largest firm. Because of its aggressive expansion, the last year's turnover of Spar Romania exceeded 44 million euros. The company gave jobs to 700 employees on 20 thousand square meters – reports Napi Gazdaság.
