Real wages increased by 4.2 percent last year in the Czech Republic
The average wage in the Czech Republic at the end of last year was 34,125 crowns (443,625 forints), which is an annual increase of 7.1 percent, compared to the end of 2018 – the Czech Statistical Office (KSH) said in Prague on Friday. Real wages, which include inflation, are up 4.2 percent.
According to market analysts, wage growth rates will also gradually decline as a result of the weakening economic growth.
For example, in the industry with the largest shortage of labor, wage growth was only five percent, Petr Dufek, a CSOB bank analyst said. (Kokes János, MTI)
