Inflation rose to 16 percent in May in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, annual inflation rose to 16 percent in May from 14.2 percent in April, the Czech Statistical Office said in Prague on Friday.

Czech inflation rises
Housing costs, food and fuel prices rose the most.
Inflation in May is the highest since December 1993, when prices rose 18.2 percent. Given the economic situation, most analysts expect inflation in the Czech Republic to rise further in June. (Kokes János, MTI)
