Less grains to be harvested in the Czech Republic this year than last year
About 7.5 percent less, 6.345 million tons of grain to be harvested in the Czech Republic this year.
The forecast of the Czech Statistical Office announced on Monday that the decline is due to the unusual heat and drought.
The estimate published one month ago reported an 8.2 percent drop in grain yield. However, this year’s harvest will be the third worst in the last decade. The hectare per yield declined by 6.6 percent to 5.07 tonnes, compared to last year. (MTI)
