Czech Republic claims over a new farm support system
The three day meeting of Agriculture Ministers of the EU was held in Brno, Czech Republic. Prague argued the current system of EU subsidies.
The dispute resolution questioned the justification of the existing major differences between the EU support per hectare among the Member States. In the current system the farmers of the new EU member states got lower support than the states, which already joined the EU before 2004. Prague wants to initiate a debate on the subject – reports Világgazdaság Online.
