András Spalek works with many ingredients he makes himself

The place is located in downtown Budapest, says bar manager András Spalek. It has a seating capacity of 33, but during the summer they can seat nearly 60 guests. The bar doesn’t have a kitchen, but the bar serves popcorn with truffles. They don’t have a head bartender: they develop, test and fine-tune cocktails as a team. Their cocktail style combines current international trends with their own creative direction. ShowRum places great emphasis on the use of special technologies. They make cocktail spheres and so-called “air,” which is very light, aromatic cocktail foam. Two cocktails represent the style of the bar well.
Curiosi-Tea is 40ml Hendrick’s Orbium, 30ml cantalopue purée, 15ml black tea syrup – mixed with ice, served in a Nick & Nora or Pony glass.
Jungle Bird combines the iconic aromas of the tiki world: 40ml Dictador 12 rum, 40ml pineapple juice, 20ml Campari, 20ml lime juice and 15ml sugar syrup – shaken with crushed ice.
