The GVH warns of fraudsters
Internet fraudsters are trying to mislead consumers with a mobile application that is deceptively similar to the online Price Monitor. The Economic Competition Office (GVH) hereby also draws attention to the fact that no one should download the free application, and that those who have downloaded it should immediately delete it from their mobile devices. The GVH took the necessary civil and criminal legal actions against the distributors of the pirated application, initiated the removal of the illegal mobile application from the Google and Apple app stores, and initiated proceedings for consumer deception. The official mobile application of the Price Watcher is being developed.
The online Price Monitoring system operated by the Economic Competition Office is extremely popular and effective. Since its launch on July 1st, the number of unique visitors has already approached 1 million, and according to a survey published by Pulzus Kutató on Friday, more than 6 million people were able to find out about Árhielő, available at www.arhiyelo.gvh.hu, in just one month.
The working group that developed the Price Monitor is constantly working on the further development of the system. In the coming weeks, several developments are expected to be sharpened, which can make the operation of the Price Monitoring System even more efficient. Soon, a shopping list that can be compiled and shared freely will help consumers. We also develop the display and service map function according to user needs. The development of the official mobile application of the Price Monitor is in progress. At the same time, the range of products included in the system may soon be expanded in accordance with consumer needs.
