Illusory retail sales growth
The interviewed analysts explain the small retail sales growth of this July, with the increase of VAT last year.
The volume of retail sales in July rose for the first time since March 2007, the calendary effect adjusted data rose by 1.7 percent compared to the same month of last year – reports the Central Statistical Office. A downward trend occured in the overall datas of the first seven months, with a 3.8 percent decrease.
