The National Chamber of Agriculture received the family-friendly workplace trademark
As the holder of the Family-friendly workplace trademark, the Chamber has become a member of an illustrious club, joining the ranks of such workplaces as – among others – Shell Hungary, Tesco, Audi, Drogerie Markt – dm, Praktiker. All organizations must go through a certification process to obtain the trademark. The trademark certificate obtained during a successful audit authentically proves to employees and users of the service that the owner of the trademark has a family-friendly approach, i.e. operates as a family-friendly workplace, and provides a family-friendly service, which at the same time shows the organization’s social responsibility.

NAK’s belief is that its employees can work best if they can coordinate their work and private life as best as possible. To this end, the chamber provides many options, such as a health insurance package for all active employees, group life and accident insurance (not only for work accidents), and discounted options for health insurance packages for family members. In addition, the organization operates a maternity program (coordination of having a child with work and conscious planning of this), and maintains regular contact with those on childcare leave. Furthermore, for example, the employer allows a significant part of the time off to be assigned to the employees at a much higher rate than the regulations. In addition to the above, NAK prioritizes support for families. In the event of the birth or adoption of a child, it greets the mothers with a gift package, and provides summer student work opportunities for the employees’ children. For employees with children, there are more options available to make it easier for them to coordinate their work schedule with their family life. Taking into account the opportunities provided by the position and organizational tasks, they have the option of part-time employment, flexible or informal working hours, and working from home.
In addition, the National Chamber of Agriculture also supports its employees with regular joint programs and community-building events
“Since the chamber was founded, we have been striving to make work and family responsibilities compatible for our employees. This certificate is an honorable acknowledgment of our efforts,” stressed Balázs Győrffy, NAK’s president, upon receiving the title.
“The Family Friendly Workplace trademark certificate given to the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy is of particular importance to us from several points of view – emphasized Dr. Ágnes Szuromi-Kovács, managing director of the Family Friendly Hungary Center. It is in itself gratifying that the Chamber’s 1,200 employees and their families are supported by numerous measures in establishing a work-life balance. But if we consider that this can serve as an authentic and inspiring example for 17 member organizations and, through them, about 400,000 chamber members, it makes this recognition and NAK’s family-friendly commitment even more valuable.
