Almost all Hungarians consume milk
At the end of 2020, the Milk Interprofessional Organization and Product Council launched a market research tender that focused on dairy product consumption habits and plant-based foods – agrarszektor.hu , wrote. According to the survey, 97% of the adult Hungarian population consumes milk and / or dairy products and 28% consume plant-based products, and two-thirds of those surveyed agreed with the statement that milk and dairy products are essential elements of a healthy diet.
Harcz Zoltán, Managing Director of the Milk Products Council, said that the main goal of the research was to understand the changes in dairy product consumption habits and the reasons for the accelerating growth of beverages / products made from plant raw materials, which still have a small market share.
