Lidl's profits fell by almost a third
Lidl's profits declined significantly in the past financial year. According to the informations of Focus Money; the profit of the discount chain decreased to 410 million euros, from 578 million euros, which is an almost 30 percent decline.
In contrast, annual revenues rose by 10.6 percent and reached 30.85 billion euros, significantly overtook the revenues of Aldi Group which is estimated at in the case of Aldi Süd; 28 billion euros and in the case of Aldi Norde; 25 billion euros. The profit decline was caused by the increased staff and material costs – reports Világgazdaság Online.
