Almost one thousand people are working in the Food Avalanche program
Nearly one thousand people in need are working in the vegetable growing program of the Hungarian Food Bank Association and the Syngenta Kft.. The Food Avalanche program was launched at twenty-three locations across the country this year.
The initiative aims to help people to grow vegetables, with offered seeds and the ready food products to be delivered to people in need in the region as a donation.
The program takes place on 1-2 hectares at every site. Last year 40 tons, this year 70 to 80 tonnes of fresh vegetables are expected to be harvested. (MTI)
