More than 70,000 producers receive a refund of almost 6 billion HUF
Long before the deadline, on October 1, the Hungarian State Treasury began to reimburse farmers for funds previously withdrawn from producers but not used there in the EU-level crisis reserve, Minister of Agriculture Nagy István told MTI on Wednesday.
In a statement, the head of the ministry recalled that in the 2014-2020 EU budget cycle, a reserve was set up at EU level to deal with serious crises affecting agricultural production or sales. This resource is created each year by the European Union by withholding part of the direct aid, the so-called financial discipline mechanism. (MTI)
