The number of guest nights in Romania decreased by almost 44 percent in the first four months
Still 23 percent fewer guest nights recorded in the first quarter, because the coronavirus pandemic hit tourism hard in April, including in Romania. The number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodations decreased by 44 percent to 1.779 million in the period from January to April, compared to 3.203 million in the previous year. Domestic tourists visited commercial accommodation by more than 41 percent, 1.495 million, and the number of foreign guests fell by more than 56 percent to 284,000. (MTI)
