The number of guest nights in Romania decreased by almost 23 percent in the first quarter
The number of guest nights spent by domestic tourists fell by 20.6 percent to 2.855 million, while foreign guest nights fell by almost 32 percent to 608,000.
The first-quarter decline was driven by March data, as the number of tourists arriving at commercial accommodations fell by nearly 70 percent in the third month, and the number of guest nights fell by 68 percent due to restrictions imposed as a result of the coronavirus epidemic. (MTI)
