No reason to panic!
„No reason to panic!- said the director. That’s when panic started.” (Rejtő Jenő: Vesztegzár a Grand Hotelben) This is how I see the responses to the financial crisis. Obviously, it would be a stupid thing to behave as if nothing has happened, but it might not be a good idea to look into the future with pure pessimism either. According to a recent interview with Csaba László, ex minister of finance, what we are seeing is an international financial meltdown which is a regularly occurring phenomenon, followed by a period of stability. There will be consequences, but confidence in the system will be restored eventually. The key word is: no reason to panic!
