Only three EU Members consume less than Hungary
Hungary's GDP per capita is the fifth lowest in the European Union – according to Eurostat’s report that was published yesterday. In personal consumption Hungary is even further back, since there are only three countries behind Hungary.
Hungary is standing on the 68% average development level of the European Union, at least based on GDP per capita, calculated on the purchasing power parity. Only Bulgaria (45%), Romania (54%), Croatia (59%) and Latvia (64%) are behind us and we are tied with the Poles. In recent years, Estonia, Slovakia and Lithuania have passed us. (portfolio.hu)
