Cofidis: the amount intended for Christmas presents can grow by a quarter this year
As in the previous year, 78 percent of the population is buying gifts for Christmas, but the amount intended for Christmas presents can rise from last year’s 31 500 forints to 41 300 forints according to the recent data of the Cofidis Hitel Monitor’s national representative research.
According to the credit institution’s announcement published on Wednesday, the planned purchases are from monthly salaries (64 percent) and from savings (41 percent). 19 percent will spend from savings saved for other purposes, and 4 percent will pay with a credit card when buying a gift: in 2016 their rate was 12 percent and 1 percent. In addition to conscious financial planning, Cofidis also offers commodity loans and personal loans to customers. (MTI)
