Carbon neutral milk is the goal
Arla has launched the first climate roadmap in the United Kingdom, with targets verified by the science based targets initiative (SBTi): making dairy production carbon neutral and sustainable. By 2025 Arla wants to switch to 100% renewable electricity, use alternative motor fuels, introduce 100% recyclable packaging and remove all plastic from private label products. Ben Wood, Arla UK’s senior sustainability manager told that their 2,100 dairy farms will share their knowledge and do everything needed to produce more sustainable food.
