Mall developments continue rapidly
The global shopping mall developments continue with a rapid pace. The expansion of the middle class and the merchants leads to unprecedented constructions and the opening of new centers, especially in the emerging markets – show the latest research datas of CB Richard Ellis, global real estate consultant.
The survey of CBRE shows the shopping center developments in 180 major cities in the world. The report said that the current developments will reach 29.6 million square meters, which is equal to the total area of all the shopping centers in France, the UK and in Germany. In addition, 7.8 million square meters of shopping center space was handed over in 2011. (Világgazdaság Online)
