The European Commission confutes: Eastern Europe does not receive lower quality food
The accusations are unfounded, that the multinational companies deliver lower-quality products to Eastern Europe – states the European Commission.
The companies were not obliged to market the same products under the same name in the countries of the EU – said Frederic Vincent, spokesperson of John Dalli European Commissioner for Health and Consumer to EurActiv. The spokesman said, that as long as the companies comply with the EU rules on labeling and food safety, the products can also be different from country to country – reports tozsdeforum.hu, after euractiv.hu
