Cafeteria – 200 thousand HUF plus per year
According to the analysis of Hewitt Human Consulting Ltd. the optional system of fringe benefits does not increase the long-term commitment of the workers, but can contribute greatly of their retention.
Most of the 105 companies participating in the analysis of Világgazdaság, introduced the cafeteria system in 2006. On the basis of the most recent datas of 2008, fourty percent of the participating companies provides its benefits within the Cafeteria system, however, all companies in the survey provides a fixed allowance for the employees. The amount used per year is in the range of 84-720 thousand HUF. At present, uncertainity surrounds the cafeteria system. If the government taxes the cafeteria system, that would be a big hole in the pocket for employers and employees.
