A new wheat bran-based feed supplement pelleting plant was inaugurated in Kunszállás, an investment by Júlia-Malom Kft. The company received a grant of HUF 1.15 billion for the 2.2 billion HUF development, of which HUF 437 million was spent on the construction of the newly completed plant.

The facility enables the processing of wheat bran, a by-product of the milling industry, which is enriched with minerals and vitamin premixes provided by Vitafort Zrt., thus increasing the shelf life and nutritional value of the product. The finished product will serve as a supplementary feed in the cattle sector.

The executives of Júlia-Malom Kft. said that the aim of the development is to strengthen the processing of domestic raw materials and increase added value. The company uses exclusively Hungarian wheat, and more than 75 percent of its products are sold on the domestic market.

The investment in Kunszállás is part of a joint development program with Vitafort Zrt., which enables the production of a new, four-member product line in the feed industry.
