Romance and comfort meet on Valentine’s Day at Wolt: while hamburgers and pizza remain the most popular choices, demand for red roses increases several times, and sales of erotic products triple on February 14, according to data from the local trading company.

Will a typical Hungarian customer order specials from Wolt on Valentine’s Day? According to the platform’s data from February 14 last year, most people stuck to the tried-and-true flavors even on Valentine’s Day, as according to national statistics, hamburgers and pizza were the most popular dishes delivered by blue-bag delivery partners.

Sushi and other Asian dishes were also popular on Valentine’s Day in Budapest, Szeged and Pécs, while kebabs were in the top 5 in Miskolc and Debrecen and Hungarian dishes in Győr. Among desserts, chocolate cake, donuts and cheesecake were the most popular on Valentine’s Day last year.

2025. Although a bouquet of roses is a deservedly popular gift, the local trading platform receives three times as many orders for erotic products as on an average weekday: mostly condoms, lubricants and sexual aids are ordered, which are delivered to customers in discreet packaging. The highest-value order in this category was almost 80 thousand forints on last year’s Valentine’s Day.
