Budapest hotels: survival mode for at least half a year
According to the data of the KSH, in the first nine months of the year, the providers of commercial accommodation in the countryside suffered a loss of 42 percent, while in Budapest they lost 77 percent.
A positive scenario, ie the release of the now-closed closure in mid-December, will primarily favor rural accommodation, which will be able to make better use of domestic demand, and in the event of a year-end hairfall, this year’s turnover will exceed the 35 to 40 percent of the turnover of last year – the Hotel and Real Estate business unit of BDO Magyarország forecasts.
