Spending at shops fell by thirds in Budapest

In Budapest in April 2020, the value of in-store purchases fell from HUF 212 billion at the beginning of the year to HUF 147 billion in April. That’s a one-third drop. In Nógrád county, the decline was only 2.2%, the monthly turnover even increased from 12 billion at the beginning of the year to 14 billion in March, from there it went down to 12 and a half billion.
