Budapest is among the ten best European destinations

With 17,745 votes Budapest has become 8th surpassing Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Vienna, Barcelona and London on the list of the European Best Destinations. The voting took place between January 18 and February 8 – the Budapest Festival and Tourism Center (BFTK) told MTI.

The best European destination title was won by Wroclaw in Poland with 41,148 votes, followed by Bilbao, Spain on the 2nd place and Colmar, France on 3rd.

The competition is announced by the European Best Destinations organization for nearly 10 years, in close cooperation with the largest destination and tourist offices in the continent. (MTI)
