Budapest Airport and HD Group implemented this Valentine’s Day activity on 9-15 February 2015. The campaign’s objective was to improve Budapest Airport’s passenger-friendly image, to increase sales of shops in the Sky Court and to give something special to passengers on this special day: those shoppers who spent more than EUR 30 got a lock, which they could place on a large heart made of metal – just like couples do it when visiting another city. A photo was taken about placing the lock and sent to passengers’ e-mail address. In 7 days 471 locks were handed over, 330 photos were taken and sales of Sky Court shops increased by 41 percent. /
