Budapest, a place to invest
According to fDi Magazine’s – member of the Financial Times group – latest ranking, in 2014-2015 Budapest will be the best place to invest in Eastern Europe. In addition to being top-ranked in the region, in the comprehensive cross-category overview called ‘TOP 10 Major European cities’ Budapest finished 9th, for instance doing better than Moscow. fDi Magazine informs 45,000 investors all over the world on matters of foreign investment. HITA president János Berényi accepted fDi Magazine’s grand prize on 12 March at real estate trade show MIPIM in Cannes. He told after the event the prize isn’t only important to Budapest but to Hungary as well. He indicated investors’ trust in Hungary by mentioning: at the moment there are 80 shared service centres working in Hungary and talks are under way about 36 more, while in the automotive industry from the world’s TOP 20 TIER-1 suppliers 15 are present in Hungary.
