There is a brutal decline in road freight transport
The Hungarian Logistics Association (MLE) recently held an open professional day within the framework of the Advanced Logistics Manager training, the topic of which was road freight transport. The Budapest event was organized primarily for those participating in education and those interested in it, but those curious about the latest trends in road freight were also pleased to see them.
The Hungarian Logistics Association (MLE) has decades of experience behind it and trains hundreds of Advanced Logistics Managers every year, both online and in person. The students were able to take part in an open professional day recently, within the framework of which not only they, but also other interested parties could gain an insight into the presentations of the up-to-date logistics training. This time, the focus was on road freight transport, which the audience could also learn about the latest data on.
“There are market players in our country where at the end of the first quarter there was a roughly 30% decline in the volume of road freight transport. Since then, the statistics have continued to deteriorate, and currently some companies are experiencing a 50% drop in this area.”
– said Dr. Zoltán Doór, president of the Hungarian Logistics Association (MLE), who added that the stocking of store shelves has basically been resolved, but stocks are now running out more slowly in many cases, the result of which can also be found in the turnover rate of stocks. However, a positive outcome of the decrease in demand is that it can moderate inflation.
