Hungarian beekeepers initiated a demonstration in Brussels
The Hungarian beekeepers initiated an international beekeeper rally in Brussels on 30 October in order to tighten honey imports from China to the EU – the organizers of the demonstration told MTI on Wednesday.
Takács Ferenc, a member of the demonstration organizer Kaposvár and Area Beekeepers Association, told that laboratory tests have shown that a greater proportion of cheap honey from China to the EU countries is industrial forgery. This false honey is not harmful to health, but erode the market position of the high-quality, real honey producers and threatens the livelihood of beekeepers. (MTI)
