Brussels has stopped the support for the storage of cheese
The European Commission stopped the support for the storage of cheese with immediate effect on Wednesday. The support was introduced at the end of August, due to the Russian embargo imposed on European foods.
The committee justified this step because the number of support needs increased disproportionately sharply in areas that otherwise not traditionally exported cheese to Russia.
The Hungarian farmers have not claimed such support yet. According to the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency (MVH) no requests have been sent to the office yet. (MTI)
