Expanding online retail
In the first half of 2015 online retail sales expanded by 16 percent – reported GKI Digital and Árukereső.hu’s Online Retail Index study. Like-for-like sales improved by one third from the traditionally slower 1st quarter to the 2nd. Shops are rather optimistic about the results of the 3rd quarter of 2015 – this period is one of the strongest after the Christmas period in several segments. As for the state of the economy in general, online shops think the situation has improved a little but they still expect stagnation. Competition for customers is much stronger in the online world than in the domain of physical stores.
