Expanding tourist traffic at the Danube Bend
The tourist traffic is expanding for the third year in the Danube bend and the guests also spend a growing number of nights – Sztojanovits Kristóf, chairman of the Budapest and Central Danubian Regional Marketing Directorate (BKD RMI) of the Hungarian National Tourist Office (MT Zrt.) told on Wednesday in Visegrád, at the tourism season opener of the Danube Bend.
He said that last year the guest spent about half a million guest nights in the Danube Bend. This is 45 percent of the region's rural areas traffic. Sztojanovits Kristóf, pointed out that the growth trend is significant because if the Danube Bend’s traffic increases, it will increase the traffic of the whole region as well. (MTI)
