Expanding trade flows between China and Africa
One of the important production base of China, the most populous Guangdong Province increasedits exports to Africa by more than 23 percent, while doubled its imports in the first two months of this year, on a year on year basis – the China Daily English-language newspaper wrote on Friday, referring to local customs datas.
The export reached 2.3 billion USD, while imports exceeded 5.1 billion USD. The southern Chinese province's biggest trading partner is South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt. 70 percent of the total trade flows was conducted with South Africa.
The main exported products are machinery products, electronic goods, clothing, footwear, textiles and furniture. The main imported products are diamonds, crude oil, coal, timber, and agricultural products. (MTI, Trebitsch Péter)
