Coop’s franchise network to be expanded
The Coop supermarket chain, which has 3000 stores will be expanded with more than two hundred shops, after three new companies will join to the franchise network of Coop – Csepeli Lajos, Board President of Co-op Hungary Zrt. announced in Budapest on Monday. The accession will increase the group’s revenues by 80-90 billion HUF annually.
The three companies – the Palóc Nagykereskedelmi Kft., the Polus Coop Kereskedelmi és Ipari Zrt., and the Piliscsoport Kereskedelmi Kft. – formerly belonged to the CBA’s franchise system, but the company leaders believed that in order to provide more stable business performance, predictability and due to the development opportunities they will join the Coop group – said Bogdán József, CEO of Polus Coop Kereskedelmi és Ipari Zrt.
